Welcome to Bledlow Ridge CC

2017 Winter nets at Princes Risborough School Sports Hall. From 12th Feb (3.30pm)

New players welcome (see below)

Bledlow Ridge Cricket Club is a long established and integral part of the village. We have our own ground, where we have been playing for over 60 years, our own clubhouse and bar, and an excellent playing facility with outdoor nets. You will be hard pushed to find a more picturesque setting to play cricket in.

The club fields 2 senior teams in the Cherwell League every Saturday throughout the season from early May. Our first team play in div 5 and our 2nds in div 8. The Cherwell is spread over 6 counties, so there is occasionally a bit of travelling to do, but the standard of the cricket, and in particular the pitches, is considerably higher than you might expect to find in some local leagues.

The club is always delighted to welcome new members. You can come along to any of the sessions listed below, or email us by clicking here and we'll give you more details. If you would like to speak to someone, feel free to call John Rolfe (club captain) on 07976 297370, Ian Murdoch (1st team captain) on 07525 911894 or Mike Gillett (2nd team captain) on 07734 690417.

As well as competitive League Cricket, we play some regular Sunday friendlies and have a series of very social midweek Twenty/20 matches against local friends like Chinnor, High Wycombe and Princes Risborough rugby clubs, Heinz, The Boot pub and juniors dads, so whatever standard you have played, or even if you haven't played at all, we will have something for you take part in.

Pre season nets

Our pre-season nets will take place at Princes Risborough School starting on the 12th Feb (3.30pm) and will continue for another 6 weeks  This year we are sharing the sessions with our near neighbours, Bledlow Village CC, so ask for John Rolfe (club captain), Ian Murdoch (1st team captain) or Mike Gillett (2nd team captain) when you get there.

The school has an excellent facility, with 4 batting nets running simultaneously. There will be a wide variety of standards, so don't worry if it's been a while. It is however a senior net session, so players under 14 years of age will have to wait for the start of the junior academy in April, and players between 14 and 18 must wear a helmet whilst batting.

Junior Academy

We have invested heavily in recent years in developing the next generation of cricketers and our junior academy meets every Friday night during the summer from 6.15.

We will be running teams in the local leagues at various age groups this year. For more details click here
